Carleton to Host iHack Ottawa Cybersecurity and Hacking Conference

Carleton University’s Technology Innovation Management Program (TIM) will host iHack Ottawa 2019, a cybersecurity conference and hacking event featuring expert talks, hands-on workshops and a capture-the-flag hacking challenge.

When: Saturday, June 15, 2019 at noon; the hacking competition begins at 6 p.m.
Where: Various room locations, Richcraft Hall, Carleton

The conference features presentations and hands-on workshops run by members of Ottawa’s high-tech community covering a wide range of topics, including forensics, reverse engineering and defence. The iHack capture-the-flag (CTF) hacking challenge is an international competition where Ottawa teams go up simultaneously against teams in other cities.

iHack Ottawa is dedicated to providing a fun, inclusive and safe learning environment in an effort to narrow the global cybersecurity skills gap.

About the Technology Innovation Management Program

Carleton’s TIM program trains aspiring entrepreneurs about creating wealth at the early stages of company or opportunity life cycles. It is a master’s-level program leading to a Master of Applied Science (MASc) degree, Master of Engineering (MEng) degree or a Master of Entrepreneurship (MEnt).
