Carleton University and Ottawa Symphony Orchestra to Celebrate New Partnership with Concert

March 29, 2019

Carleton University and the Ottawa Symphony Orchestra will honour a new partnership at the CU at the Symphony Celebration Concert – a Mahler Symphony No. 5 performance at the Carleton Dominion Chalmers Centre.

When: Monday, April 1, 2019 at 7:30 p.m., doors open at 6 p.m.
Where: Woodside Hall, Carleton Dominion Chalmers Centre, 355 Cooper St, Ottawa
Info: Tickets are available online.

Media are invited to attend the event.

Dominion-Chalmers has long been known as a gathering place for music performance and enjoyment. Now, as the university’s place of learning and community in the heart of the city, Carleton has invited the Ottawa Symphony Orchestra to make its performance home at the Carleton Dominion Chalmers Centre.

With this celebration, the Ottawa Symphony and Carleton announce the creation of new experiential learning and development opportunities that will draw on many of Carleton’s disciplines, as well as symphony operations and management. While the internships and placements will provide Carleton students with valuable real-life, hands-on experiences, the dynamism, best practices and innovation that students will bring to the orchestra will significantly strengthen its operations and community connections.
