Cohen has written about the royals on numerous occasions.
Cohen is an author and journalist who has worked for a wire service as well as leading newspapers and magazines as a reporter, editor, editorial writer, columnist and foreign correspondent. In his 37-year journalism career, he has written for Time, the Ottawa Citizen, and United Press International. He also wrote for the Financial Post and the Globe and Mail from Washington, London, Berlin and Toronto.

Philippe Lagassé
Professor, Norman Paterson School of International Affairs at Carleton University

Lagassé has provided media commentary on the role of royal tours, Canadian attitudes on the monarchy, and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. He is available to speak about the constitutional aspects of the British monarchy.
Lagassé is the Barton Chair at the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs. His research focuses on defence policy and military procurement, as well as civil-military relations, and the role of institutions in international policymaking in the Westminster tradition.

Jonathan Malloy

Malloy is available to discuss the politics of change, how the Queen’s passing and the coronation will spark discussions of change to the Canadian system, and why change would be difficult.
Malloy’s key areas of research include Canadian political institutions, parliamentary committees and prime ministerial leadership. He is available to discuss subjects related to Canadian politics and identity.

Micheline White

White is available to discuss the religious dimension of the coronation. She is specifically intrigued by the “anointing,” an ancient and somewhat mystical element that is often hidden from viewers. During this ceremony, the oil used is often personalized.
King Charles III has personalized the oil insisting that it contains no animal products and includes oil from olives from the Mount of Olives.
White can also talk about the importance of the prayers used during the service and in parishes before and after the coronation. These prayers articulate a vision of an ideal monarch, an ideal royal family and ideal subjects. They have changed over time and are now being used to project an image of a traditional yet progressive modern king and queen. The service has also changed to reflect a more secular, multicultural society.
White can discuss the role and influence of the queen consort — historically and in modern times.
