Conclusions
Like basalt, silicous shale follows both Thelon and Dubawnt caribou migration routes, but is more highly concentrated on the Thelon, especially at KeNi-4 and KjNb-6 & 7 for 99 artifacts. Silicious shale also occurs in surface exposures and, like basalt, varies in quality. Perhaps the best sources were on the upper and middle Thelon, with a secondary source on the lower Dubawnt.
