1. If you have an approved Letter of Permission to register at Carleton as part of eCampus Ontario complete this online application form to become a Special Student at Carleton.
2. Once you have received your student number via email, you will be directed to register via Carleton Central.

• Most course work is submitted online by pre-determined deadlines.
• If an assignment must be submitted physically it can be mailed to the department, postmarked by the deadline.
• Some testing takes place online but many distance courses have proctored seated exams.
• Local students can write proctored exams on campus whereas distance students can arrange to write these in their area with a qualified local proctor. More information on this can be found on the Carleton Online website.

• All course changes are completed through Carleton Central. The option to withdraw can be found under the Registration menu. Please see the list of important dates and deadlines.
