The Senior Management Committee met on June 28, 2023, to review and approve the following policies:
Internal Charges for Goods and Services Policy
This policy outlines the annual process of approval for internal charges for goods and services approved by the Senior Management Committee, as well as additional considerations when approving the amount of the charges for goods and services.
Revisions to the policy include updates to department titles and changes to charges for services from Facilities Management and Planning, Conference Services, Teaching and Learning Services, and Campus Safety Services.
The purpose of this policy is to define Carleton University’s position related to gambling events on university property or resources and applies to all students and student groups, staff, faculty and visitors at Carleton University.
Primary changes include title updates as they pertain to positions and departments, and clarification of the policy’s reach and applicability (i.e., university property and online).
Desktop and Laptop Computer Equipment Policy
This policy applies to acquisition and support of desktop and laptop computer equipment made with university operating funds for the use of staff and faculty, as well as student computer labs.
Furthermore, this policy identifies the procurement vehicles that ensure that the university receives the best benefit in terms of cost and functionality when purchasing desktop and laptop computers.
