Mat is currently the Vice-President, Corporate Development at Dymech Engineering. Mat’s role is directly involved in supporting, executing and tracking diverse Corporate Development Initiatives such as licensing, partnerships, and intellectual property. He participates in due diligence, in conjunction with internal and external groups, while supporting strategic intelligence-gathering activities related to new platforms, licenses, partnerships and the evaluation of new service offerings.
Mat is currently the President of the Carleton University Alumni Association, whose term will end on June 30, 2023, where after he will transition into the role of Past-President. He is a proud Mechanical Engineering graduate who first became involved with the Alumni Association as a volunteer in the Engineering Chapter. He took over the role of President of the Engineering Chapter in 2012 and joined the CUAA Executive in 2016 in the role of Vice-President. In addition to his significant involvement and philanthropic leadership with the CUAA, Mat is also a Mentor in the Alumni Mentors Program- having mentored 8 students, the Chair, Program Advisory Committee – Welding and Fabrication Techniques with Algonquin College, and a Guide in the Licensure Assistance Program with the Professional Engineers of Ontario
Mat has been elected to the Board of Governors for a two-year term commencing July 1, 2023, and ending on June 30, 2025.
