Mira Gillis

Undergraduate Student

Mira Gillis is a fourth-year Public Affairs and Policy Management (PAPM) student with a minor in Communications and Media studies. In 22/23 Mira completed her first term as an undergraduate student governor on Carleton’s Board, during which period she also served as a Carleton Social Media Ambassador.

Mira currently works as a Senate Page at the Senate of Canada. As one of 15 Canadian undergraduate students selected, she has worked at special events such as the joint Parliamentary address of President Zelenskyy, the Opening of Parliament, and the 2021 Speech from the Throne.

In regard to extracurricular activities, Mira serves as the co-founder and co-president of the Carleton University Be a Donor club. Additionally, she has also served as the 22/23 Vice President Academic of the Carleton Law Society, 21/22 Vice President of Administration of the Rideau River Residence Association, and National Youth Ambassador with World Vision Canada.

Mira has been elected to the Board of Governors for a one-year term commencing July 1, 2023, and ending on June 30, 2024.
