Elias A.

My teaching career has taken me from Canada to Qatar and New Zealand then back to Canada again and one thing that I have learned is that travel is one of life’s greatest educators. That, and books. And sports. And food. And being outside.

I find that a great deal of happiness in life comes from building strong relationships with people and the world around us. Coming back to Carleton University, where I nurtured a deep love of learning, to work with young people is an opportunity for me to share what I have learned since graduating and to foster that love in the next generation. My interests vary across several disciplines, from playing hockey and soccer, biking, hiking and climbing, to woodworking, I like to stretch my brain and challenge myself so that I can exercise my body, mind, and soul.
