Shad Speaks
During the program, you will give a 5-minute presentation on a topic that you select yourself. The topic is your choice, so select something that you are comfortable with. Chances are if you’re excited about your topic, other Shads will be too. Your speech may be supported by a PowerPoint presentation, but we are much more interested in your topic and passion than being dazzled by your ability to produce a glitzy media show. Consider a PowerPoint-less Shad Speak!
Bio-Tile
At the very beginning of the program we will be running an introduction activity that will require you to have a Bio-tile. A Bio-tile provides some insight as to who you are and has features that represent you.
There are only three requirements for the Bio-tile:
- Max size: 15cm x 15cm x 2 cm
- It must have something that can be used to hang it on a bulletin board using a push pin (and not be too heavy)
- It must be creative!
After that, it’s up to you. The more creative the better! Make sure that you have your Bio-tile ready upon your arrival as we’ll need the Bio-tiles that day!
