She will be working under the supervision of Dr. Nahla Abdo on a research project titled ‘Gender and Urban Spaces "Opportunities and Challenges for Women in Using Parks and Recreational Spaces".
This study aims to explore the gender dynamics and experiences of women in utilizing parks and recreational spaces within urban environments. The primary objective of this research project is to investigate the opportunities and challenges faced by women when accessing and utilizing parks and recreational spaces in urban areas. By shedding light on these issues, we aim to contribute to a better understanding of gender inequalities and urban planning considerations. We will conduct an extensive review of existing literature, academic research, and case studies related to gender, urban spaces, and the use of parks and recreational spaces by women. This will provide a solid foundation for our research and help identify research gaps. This will enable us to identify common themes, patterns, and correlations, providing valuable insights into the opportunities and challenges faced by women in using urban spaces (parks and recreational spaces).
