Join us for a tour of Ottawa’s largest rooftop solar installation at the Canada Science and Technology Museum. Developed by the Ottawa Renewable Energy Co-operative (OREC), the project has recently expanded to nearly 1 MW of installed capacity, making it one of the largest rooftop solar arrays in Eastern Ontario and a leading example of community-owned renewable energy infrastructure.
During the visit, participants will learn how the project was developed, financed, and operated through a community ownership model, while exploring the role that distributed solar energy can play in advancing energy transitions.
