Tackle Technology is an opportunity for students to gain skills working with new technologies or sharpen existing skills. Virtual Ventures instructors will lead a on computer workshop to create something unique. This event takes place at Carleton’s new location in Kanata’s tech park, allowing students to be immersed in the technology industry in Ottawa. All technology will be provided.

We are so excited to host a Virtual Ventures event for families in the Kanata area at Carleton’s new location.

CU@Kanata is a 12,000 square foot purpose-built innovation space at Kanata North’s Hub350, a new ecosystem in Canada’s largest technology park where industry, finance and academic partners will collaborate and connect. CU@Kanata’s space will establish an important springboard to expand research and educational partnerships and we are delighted to be opening this space up to the Virtual Ventures community!

Audience: *Girls in grades 7-10

Cost: Free

Parking: There is a parking lot across the street available, and a loading zone out front for drop off

*By saying girls, we recognize and welcome all self-identifying girls including cisgender and transgender girls and gender diverse students in STEM. We also encourage and welcome Indigenous girls, racialized girls, and girls with disabilities.
