New Sun Bursary for Students with Disabilities

New Sun Bursary for Students with Disabilities
Awarded annually to students with a disability who are in need of financial assistance. Established by Saroja Nagpur in memory of her husband. Endowed 2019.
- To be considered for the Nagpur, Lakshman Bursary, students must complete the online General Undergraduate Bursary application by the Oct. 31 deadline.

New Sun Bursary for Students with Disabilities
Awarded annually to undergraduate students with a documented permanent disability who are enrolled in a degree program at Carleton University. Eligible students will be in demonstrated financial need and must be registered with the Paul Menton Centre. Endowed in 2019 by Dr. Larry Didow, PhD/72. Dr. Larry Didow obtained his PhD at Carleton University in 1972 and went on to become a professor at the University of Winnipeg. During his tenure at the University, he was very active in the development of the Nathan McKay Learning Resource Centre for Students with Disabilities (now referred to as the Disability Services and Resource Centre) and he currently supports disabled students through several scholarships and/or bursaries at post secondary institutions.

Awarded annually to a student with a continuing physical disability entering a full-time program at Carleton University from an Ottawa high school who is in need of financial assistance. Established in 2017 through the Ottawa Community Foundation.
- To be considered for the Ingram, McCarthy, Robertson Aw Bursary, students must complete the online General Undergraduate Bursary application by the Oct. 31 deadline.
- The online General Undergraduate Bursary application is made available to all registered undergraduate students in early September for the Fall/Winter session.

New Sun Bursary for Students with Disabilities
Awarded annually to two deserving undergraduate students in the final year of any program of study who are registered with the Paul Menton Centre. Recipients will have demonstrated financial need, must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada (landed immigrants or protected persons), and must meet OSAP’s Ontario residency requirements. Endowed in 2007 from the estate of Mrs. Sarah Lithwick Green.
- To be considered for the Harold Lithwick Memorial Bursary, students must complete the online General Undergraduate Bursary application by the Oct. 31 deadline.
