The Faculty of Public and Global Affairs (FPGA) annually recognizes outstanding students through the presentation of significant awards, and BGInS student Kiara Gibbs-Cawker was one of this years recipients.
The FPGA EDIR Community Excellence Award recognizes an individual who has made significant contributions to advancing equity, diversity, inclusion, and reconciliation (EDIR) within the Faculty of Public and Global Affairs and the broader Carleton University community. The selection committee was particularly impressed by your work as the EDI Student Program Coordinator for African, Caribbean, and Black programming, as well as your service as the RISE Coordinator for Racialized and International Student Experience with Carleton University’s Students’ Association.
These contributions are invaluable to the continued success of the Faculty of Public and Global Affairs and to the Carleton community. Please accept my sincere congratulations and appreciation for all you have accomplished and for the meaningful work you continue to undertake.
Once again, congratulations on this well-deserved recognition!
