Would you like to review your math fundamentals before the school year begins? MATH Matters is a math refresher program coordinated by Carleton University’s Science Student Success Centre (SSSC). Through MATH Matters, students can participate in a weeklong, in person, interactive math refresher course. In addition to lectures and knowledge evaluation tests, you will also have access to a textbook, study groups with an upper-year student, access to small classrooms to interact with peers, and a designated Study Group Leader.

This course runs from Monday, August 21st to Friday, August 25th, 2023 and costs $250 including HST.

For students who are unsure if MATH Matters is a good fit for you, be sure to check out MATH4U. This online resource contains helpful math resources in addition to diagnostic tests to gauge your math skills going into the fall semester, and if you would benefit from more support.  Also, those who complete the post-MATH4U diagnostic test can potentially earn a bonus mark in your first-year math course! Starting August 1st, ,2023 all students enrolled in a program with a first-year math component will automatically have access to MATH4U and its free, pre-recorded lectures and knowledge evaluation tests covering math fundamentals. Students register online via Carleton Central. Registration for MATH Matters closes August 17th at noon for MATH 0999.
