The Small Mammal Cycles Conference 2024 committee will occur at the Canadian Museum of Nature in Ottawa from January 31 to February 2, 2024. Guest speakers who have made major contributions to research in this leading field of ecology will include Frauke Ecke, Rebecca Tyson, Stan Boutin and Gilles Gauthier. Several leaders in population dynamics have also already confirmed their attendance.

This event aims to enable the exchange of scientific information between international experts on the subject; understanding fluctuations in the abundance of small mammals within forest and tundra ecosystems represents an important challenge for ensuring better wildlife conservation practices, and for better predicting the impacts that climate change will have on cyclical prey and their predators.

You can register for the conference until January 10, 2024. Brainstorming workshops on the subject are planned on-site. Please note that the conference will be held in English, as it is international. You may find all the information about the conference: https://event.fourwaves.com/smcc2024/pages.
