Location:4040 Nicol

PAPM Student Society, in collaboration with the BSA and BSPA, are proud to present Voices of Impact: Black Leaders in Public Affairs, a Black History Month panel event. Featuring Omayra Issa and Donnielle Roman, two accomplished Black women in public affairs, and moderated by PhD candidate Asif Hameed, this discussion will explore their journeys through academia and their careers, highlighting how their intersectional identities have shaped their experiences in Canada. This event serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of amplifying Black voices and leadership in a field that shapes governance, policies, and decisions impacting us all. Through their stories, we aim to inspire Black and marginalized students in the Carleton community to persevere through institutional challenges, recognize their ability to create meaningful change, and thrive in this field.
