Dr. Paul Simms Celebrates 20 Years of Service at Carleton University
Dr. Paul Simms, Environmental Engineering Professor and Associate Graduate Chair (Environmental Engineering), has served 20 years within the Carleton University academic community.

Professor Simms’ research interests include mine waste management, thickened tailings disposal on surface and as mine backfill, fundamental unsaturated soil mechanics and evolution of soil microstructure due to drying. Other than working on his own research group with his supervised graduate students, he has served as Associate Graduate Chair of our Environmental Engineering program and Director of The Ottawa-Carleton Institute for Environmental Engineering (OCIENE) in recent years.
