Call for Applications: Graduate Student Travel-Research Grants on the European Union, European Integration, or EU-Canada Relations (Spring/Summer 2020)

The Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence is accepting applications from graduate students at Carleton University for travel research grants to support Ph.D. and M.A. student research in the European Union. Maximum grant is $1800. Read more here(closing date is February 14, 2020)

Call for Applications: EU Visiting Scholar in Residence with the Centre for European Studies (September-December 2020 or January-April 2021)
The Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence is looking for applications for a scholar-in-residence for four months in either the Fall or Winter Terms. The position would involve teaching an MA-leven seminar on a topic in European Union politics and offered in the interdisciplinary European, Russian and Eurasian (EURUS) studies program. Applicants should have a completed Ph.D. in a relevant field with a record of publications, research, and teaching. The scholar-in-residence will recieve a travel stipend, accomodation expenses, and a fee for teaching. Read more here. (closing date is February 24, 2020)

Call for Applications: EU Study Tour and Internship Program 2020 (Spring/Summer 2020)

Earn a 0.5 course credit this summer… in Europe! The European Union (EU) Study Tour is an initiative of the European Studies Network (Canada), a consortium of Canadian universities of which Carleton is a member. The Tour consists of 21 days (May 10 – May 30, 2020) in Europe, involving meetings and consultations at a wide range of European institutions in  Brussels, Strasbourg, Luxembourg, and Frankfurt. Students participating in the Tour may also apply to participate in an internship program (2 months or more) with a European institution. Application Deadline and Procedure: Applications to the Tour are made through Carleton University. The deadline for applications is Thursday, February 27th, 2020.
