The Transatlantic Network for Dialogue, Education and Multidisciplinary Research (TANDEM) bring together 20 higher education institutions from Europe, the United States and Canada to advance knowledge and foster informed debate on the evolving dynamics of transatlantic relations. TANDEM is funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union as a Jean Monnet Network. It is coordinated by KU Leuven in Belgium.

The network integrates diverse perspectives from across the Atlantic, ensuring knowledge exchange and sustained academic collaboration. TANDEM facilitates dialogue on the most pressing issues in Europe–North America relations, addressing six thematic areas: transatlantic security, trade and technological innovation, democracy and rule of law, green and energy transitions, demographic shifts and migration, and multilateral cooperation and global governance.

The Centre for European Studies (CES) coordinates Carleton University’s participation in TANDEM. In addition to contributing to TANDEM activities and publications, CES will host the TANDEM General Conference 2028 in Ottawa.
