Schedule a Visit
The best way to decide if our program is right for you is to meet our professors and students. Or sign up for a tour or a course!
How to Meet Faculty and Students
Attend a Lecture and Meet with a Faculty Member
A great way to meet professors and students is to visit a Humanities lecture or discussion group.
Normally students choose to visit:
- The first year Core Course: HUMS 1000 “Foundational Myths and Histories”
Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:30-4:00 p.m. - The second year Core Course: HUMS 2000 “Reason and Revelation”
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30-4:00 p.m.
You can also attend one of the many discussion groups held on Thursdays and Fridays (please contact for availability of those).
Please fill out the form below with a day that is convenient for you and we’ll be in touch!
Recruitment Events
Each year faculty members and students attend the Toronto Universities Fair, and are present at Carleton’s general recruitment events. We also host Humanities ‘Specialty Tour’ open-house events in the College of the Humanities itself.
- Please see our Recruiting Events page.
High School Teachers — Bring your Class to a Humanities Lecture
If you teach Grade 11 or 12, you are encouraged to arrange a class visit. Depending on the size of your group, your students can attend a regularly scheduled lecture, or faculty in the Bachelor of Humanities can hold a special lecture for you on a topic in English, Religion, Philosophy, History, or Political Theory.
Please contact us to arrange a class visit.
Current Carleton Students
If you are a current Carleton student, simply contact us to arrange to meet a Humanities professor and sit in on a class or discussion group.
Ask Us for More Information
The faculty and staff of our programs are happy to answer any questions you have. Please email the Undergraduate Administrator, who can answer most questions about Admissions, and who can direct your question about the program to one of our faculty members.
