Exploring Pivotal Provincial Data on Canada’s Nonprofit Sector
Exploring Canada’s Nonprofit Sector—Through a Provincial Lens
Across Canada, nonprofits and charities are navigating what many describe as a time of polycrisis—rising demand, constrained resources, and rapidly shifting social and economic conditions. Yet even in this complexity, the sector continues to deliver essential programs that strengthen communities nationwide.
On May 26, the Charity Insights Canada Project (CICP) brings together leading provincial networks for a timely conversation grounded in fresh, on-the-ground data.
In this upcoming session, representatives from the Ontario Nonprofit Network, the Nonprofit Chamber, Vantage Point (BCNN), and Impact Organizations of Nova Scotia will share rapid-fire insights from their 2025 sector surveys—offering a rare opportunity to see how trends are unfolding across different regions of the country. These findings build on Statistics Canada data while incorporating shared questions developed through CICP, creating a more connected and comparable picture of the sector.
But this session goes beyond presenting data. It’s an invitation to make sense of it, together.
Following the presentations, participants will join a facilitated discussion to reflect on what these findings mean for the future of Canada’s nonprofit sector: where pressures are intensifying, where resilience is emerging, and what may lie ahead.
The data is rich. The moment is critical. Join us to unpack it.
When: Tuesday, May 26 | 1:00–2:00 PM (EST)
Featuring insights from sector leaders across the country, moderated by the CICP.
