Dr. Diana Inkpen’s new project monitors social media for signs of mental illness

A team of researchers led by Diana Inkpen will explore the use of social media data to help detect and monitor individuals potentially at risk of mental health issues. The project has received a three-year grant from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC). Diana Inkpen is a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Ottawa. She is also an Adjunct Research Professor at the Institute of Cognitive Science (ICS) at Carleton University.
