Colloquium
The Department of Cognitive Science hosts a weekly series from September to March at 3 pm on Wednesdays in 2203 Dunton Tower. These colloquia are often available to watch on Zoom. They might be traditional research talks, panel discussions, career development talks, showcases of labs, or departmental meetings.
Spring Conference
Each spring, the department holds an annual Spring Conference. The central aim of the conference is to provide a venue for students in cognitive science – at the Master’s and PhD level, as well as undergraduate students completing a thesis or project– to present and receive feedback on their work, and to interact with each other in a friendly, supportive, and inclusive environment.
We welcome submissions that make an original contribution to research topics in any of the sub-disciplines of cognitive science, including: philosophy of mind/language/cognitive science, linguistics, cognitive psychology, cognitive neuroscience, computer science and AI, cognitive anthropology, and education. We especially encourage submissions from members of underrepresented groups.
Please see below for submission instructions and details. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the conference organizers at cgscspringconference@gmail.com.
