The Department of Cognitive Science invites applications from members of the CUPE 4600 (Unit 2) bargaining unit and other interested persons to teach courses in Cognitve Science as a Contract Instructor (CI) during the Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 terms.

CI Stipends: 1.0 (full) credit courses: $18,508.00; 0.5 (half) credit courses: $9,255.00
Note that all courses listed below are 0.5 (half) credit courses.
Important Notes on the Collective Agreement
Pursuant to Article 16 of the CUPE 4600 Unit 2 Collective Agreement outlining the hiring process, in particular with respect to Incumbency and Seniority, the following courses may be available for Contract Instructors during the Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 terms. Expressions of interest are invited from members of the CUPE 4600 bargaining unit and other interested persons to teach the aforementioned Cognitive Science courses. Offers of employment and replies to these offers are subject to Articles 15.4 and 15.5 respectively.
All incumbents MUST apply for each specific course(s) as per CUPE 4600 Unit 2 Collective Agreement Article 15.3.

Candidates should hold an M.A., MSc or equivalent, have experience as a Teaching Assistant and have taken Cognitive Science courses directly related to the course to which they are applying.
All positions are subject to budgetary approval.
