Important Information
To avoid Academic Integrity violations, questions about exams, including take-home exams, should be directed to your instructor or teaching assistant. If you are working on a group assignment, we encourage you to book individual appointments with Writing Services, as needed.

-
- Editing and Proofreading: We can help you learn how to do this for yourself, but we can’t do it for you because that would violate Carleton’s Academic Integrity Policy.
- Multiple Assignments on the same day: We welcome you to book an additional Writing Consultation Session on a different date.
- Exams: To avoid Academic Integrity violations, questions about exams, including take-home exams, should be directed to your instructor or teaching assistant.
- Citations: The library provides Citation Guides to help you. Carleton’s Academic Integrity Policy means that the Library cannot check or verify if your citations are correct. Librarians and Subject Specialists can answer general questions about citation practices. In all cases, students should consult the specific edition of the citation guide assigned for their class.
- Resumes, Cover Letters, and Statements of Interest: The team at Career Services is specially trained to help you with all of your professional writing needs.
- Grant Proposals and Graduate Funding Applications: Students are advised to seek help from the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs, or their supervisors.
- Scholarships: Students can reach out to the Awards and Financial Aid as they may be best suited to support them with their scholarship questions.
