CURA SCHOLARSHIP

The Carleton University Retirees Association (CURA) is investigating the creation
of an endowed CURA scholarship open to all domestic students entering Carleton.
The minimum required endowment is $25,000 and members of CURA have
already pledged upwards of $8,000. An endowment of $25,000 would be enough
to generate an annual award. If as we hope, the endowment ends up larger than that,
either a larger scholarship or two scholarships will be awarded each year,
depending on the size of the endowment.

We are writing to ask whether you would be in favour of such an
initiative and, if it comes to pass, whether you might: (1) donate,
(2) probably would not donate, or, at this time, (3) do not know.
