About CURAC

CURAC is an umbrella organization of 40 retiree associations of which CURA is a member.  It is a non-profit federation of retiree organizations of colleges and universities across Canada. CURAC is also linked into its US sister association, the Association of Retirement Organizations in Higher Education (AROHE).  CURAC website.

CURAC’s objectives are:

Annual Conference:

CURAC holds an annual conference hosted by different member universities providing an opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences on issues affecting retirees, as well as attend presentations on various topics.  Also, to socialize, dine, and enjoy the sights of the host cities with colleagues!! The 2026 CURAC Conference was hosted by the Simon Fraser Retiree Association on May 20-22 at New Westminster, the geographic centre of Metro Vancouver. CURAC Benefits:

CURAC/ARUCC has negotiated benefits with several companies/associations on behalf of member retiree associations for: travel planning, travel insurance, car and home insurance and through membership in RTO/ERO (Retired Teachers Ontario) extended health benefit and travel insurance.
