Alex Smith
BHSc Student, Research Intern
My name is Alex Smith, and I am a second-year Health Sciences student at Carleton University. With a concentration in biomedical science, I focus mainly on the biochemical, physiological, and developmental aspects of human health. But my interests span much broader than that. Coming from a rural community, I am most interested in studying rural health and the inequalities that these communities face.
My role is to create interactive data-based resources for many key issues that afflict those in rural settings. The project I will work on focuses on expanding an online, open-sourced knowledge archive that can be used as a fast, easy-to-navigate data source for those researching rural health.
