Bogdan Koutsenko

Bogdan studied history, international relations, and economics at the University of British Columbia. He received his undergraduate degree in 2022 after completing an honours thesis on transition economies. After completing his degree, Bogdan spent a year as a policy analyst at a think tank in Ontario, where he managed research and administrative functions on several government contracts related to transportation, workforce planning, and other topics. 

After returning to Vancouver, he started producing deliverables as a research analyst at the Plakhov Group, an Ottawa-based research institute with a focus on Eastern European and Transatlantic geopolitics. With his background in policy analysis and his fluency in Russian, Bogdan hopes to contribute to the vision of the EETN by producing media scans and sentiment analyses of policy issues related to the Arctic.
