Enhancements to CuWorkSafe – Incident & Hazard Reporting
As part of a Software Rationalization Strategy, we are modernizing several business applications to eliminate duplication, improve security, and streamline user experience. One of the first products to benefit from this initiative is CuWorkSafe, our online platform for reporting workplace hazards, near-misses, and incidents.
What you will notice
- A cleaner look and simpler navigation are available when you open CuWorkSafe.
- Mobile-friendly pages and, for the first time, incident investigation reporting through the app (iOS & Android).
What is not changing
- The core reporting process—what you report, when you report it, and who reviews it—remains the same. The purpose of the upgrade is to improve usability, not to redesign the underlying process.
- How you sign in and access the system. You will continue to use your existing MyCarletonOne credentials
Support during the transition
The EHS team will provide:
- A brief “Quick Reference” sheet and a short video overview
- One-on-one assistance (virtual and in-person) on request—simply email EHS@cunet.carleton.ca
- PDF Reporting Option: Should you encounter any difficulties, you may temporarily submit a hazard or incident using the existing PDF Incident/Hazard Reporting Form available on the EHS website; our office will enter the information into CuWorkSafe on your behalf.
Key dates
16 June 2025 – Refreshed CuWorkSafe goes live .
No action is required from you before these dates — please continue to report hazards and incidents as usual.
