Environmental Health and Safety provides Asbestos Awareness training for University employees.

This online training course provides an overview of asbestos background and hazards, Ontario asbestos regulations and how you can find out what materials contain asbestos on campus and how they are managed.

Who should complete this course?

Any person who has the potential to disturb asbestos-containing materials (ACM) on campus should complete this awareness course. We also encourage all members of the Carleton community to complete the course and learn more about asbestos.

How do I access this course?

The Asbestos Awareness training is available online.

  1. Visit Brightspace.
  2. Sign in using your MC1 credentials.
  3. Select the correct course in “My Courses”.  If the course is not listed in “My courses”, search for the training through the Discover link in the navigation bar and self register by following the on-screen instructions.
