Environmental Health and Safety provides Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) awareness training for University employees.
This 3 hour training course will provide employees with the basic knowledge required to receive or prepare for shipping a material classed as dangerous goods under the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act, 1992. Additional training is required for individuals who will be shipping dangerous goods, particularly across federal borders.
Who should attend?
TDG training is mandatory for all employees who perform the following work:
- employees who receive or prepare for shipment, dangerous goods
- employees who transport dangerous goods
- employees involved in the disposal/manifesting of hazardous waste from the University
Supervisors are responsible to determine which employees in their work area require TDG training
