The English Department at Carleton is a warm and vibrant community of students and faculty with interests that range from literary classics to contemporary writing, popular culture, and digital media. Awards, Scholarships, & Writing Competitions	A number of awards for poetry and essay-writing are awarded annually to English students.

Carleton Climate Commons Working Group	The Carleton Climate Commons Working Group brings together faculty, staff, undergraduate and graduate students at Carleton University to discuss issues surrounding the climate crisis in relation to the humanities and social sciences, to share academic work, ideas, and resources.
