Mobilization, Research, and Administrative Support Coordinator, CUPE Local 2424

Degrees:BA Combined Honours in English and Sociology (Carleton, 2009), MA Sociology (Carleton, 2012)

I work as the Mobilization, Research, and Administrative Support Coordinator at CUPE Local 2424, the union representing 1000+ administrative, technical, and library workers at Carleton University. In my role, I support labour-rights advocacy through research, membership mobilization, communications, and administration. My career path has taken me through publishing, administration, work with the public service, and labour advocacy. Studying English Literature taught me to research thoroughly and communicate accessibly, skills that employers have valued throughout my professional journey. When developing research strategies, mobilizing around labour rights, or data-driven storytelling, my foundation in English Literature continues to shape my curiosity and faith in the power of language.
