Facilitator Description

Facilitators are the students who make up the bulk of volunteers who are responsible for interacting with first-year students, ensuring that they have a great week! Being a facilitator is a great way to build your leadership skills and get involved in Fall Orientation, especially if you have never done it before! No experience needed!

Facilitators should possess the following qualities:

  • Ability to engage with incoming students to assist in their transition to Carleton
  • Ability to work in a team environment or a large group setting
  • School spirit and a desire to showcase Raven Pride to new students

Raven Description

Ravens are crucial to the successful implementation of the Fall Orientation Program. Ravens are responsible for assisting the Head Raven with all aspects of the week to ensure the success of all events. Ravens are the “behind the scenes” heroes!

Tasks include:

  • Event set ups
  • Event tear down
  • Assistance with logistical pieces involved with Fall Orientation.

Ravens are not assigned a group of new students to interact with, however, they do wear many hats over the course of the week! If are you someone who loves to multi-task and problem solve behind the scenes, this volunteer opportunity is for you.
