“How Do We Talk About Trump?” (A Sociology and Anthropology Event)

The event is aimed at fostering collective discussion among the Carleton community about the rapidly unfolding political situation in the aftermath of the recent U.S. election. A number of faculty and students will be making brief (3-5 minutes) interventions addressing one or more of these three questions: What are the responsibilities of scholars in a Trump presidency? How can we meaningfully and effectively communicate and intervene in events in the aftermath of his election? What are some barriers to our effective intervention/communication, and how do we overcome them? This will be followed by an extended discussion period. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend and participate.

If you have questions or would like to sign up to make an intervention, please e-mail aaron.doyle@carleton.ca. Food and drink provided.
