Christos Zigoumis

B.A. Honours Greek and Roman Studies, Minor in Archaeology

Christos Zigoumis is a fourth-year student in Greek and Roman Studies with a minor in archaeology. Throughout his time at Carleton, he has been able to participate as a student assistant researching Indigenous artefacts with the National Capital Commission, study Colonial artefacts at Carleton’s archaeology lab (X-Lab), and is currently the Editor-in-Chief for Corvus, Carleton University’s undergraduate student run journal of Classics and ancient history. He has participated in the Southern Mani Archaeological Project, an archaeological survey in Greece, and also excavations on Cephalonia through Excavate in Greece, both of which projects he will be participating in again during the summer of 2026. His research interests include spolia, Frankish-Moreote archaeology, and Arcadian and Laconian archaeology.
