Fourth Year, History, Minor in Political Science

Michael is a fourth-year History student with a minor in Political Science. He has a range of interests covering 19th and 20th century politics, culture, society and economics primarily in Europe and Asia. He is currently completing an honours research essay, examining railway construction during the final years of the Ottoman Empire. Outside of school, Michael engages with Ottawa’s many museums, enjoys the outdoors on the cities many walking and biking trails, and builds scale models. Michael’s interest in becoming an ambassador stems from his commitment to break the paradigm that history is a boring subject and attract more prospective students to the field.
