We are pleased to announce the creation of a new Associate Professor position in Geomatics, Cartography, Indigenous Studies, and Community Engaged Research.  This faculty position will contribute to teaching and mentoring students about geomatics and cartography, with a focus on social science applications and perspectives.  It will be tied to Associate Directorship of the Geomatics and Cartographic Research Centre (GCRC). The GCRC has been a leading force, for over 20 years, in innovative theoretical and applied research using geographic information processing to improve analyses on topics of societal interest in national and international contexts.  The successful applicant to this position will be expected to work closely with GCRC Director Dr. Fraser Taylor, to map future directions for, and eventually take over leadership of, the GCRC.
