Geographies of Europe course will be live-streamed. Virtual attendance at times/days listed is required. Tuesday and Thursday from 18:05 – 20:55

Taught by Dr. Tamara Kotar

In this course we will examine the significance of Europe’s physical and cultural environments and how they are part of diverse, multiple and changing socio-political identities, economic realities and institutions in Europe. We will explore European geo-political history with an eye to understanding the many ways in which challenging questions of human environments and relationships in Europe have been addressed in the past and are being faced in the present.

We will focus on issues that have a profound effect on the lives of people in Europe such as the role of the European Union, Russia’s geo-political influence, patterns of conflict, settlement and health.
