Natalie was nominated by several of her colleagues and Erin was nominated by someone who requested to remain anonymous. Below are some of the thoughts shared by those who nominated them.
“Natalie embodies and supports all of the Carleton Service Excellence standards and more. She is thoughtful, works tirelessly, takes care of critically important business and deadlines, responds quickly and efficiently to requests; She is professional even during difficult times and she cares about our entire department including all faculty, staff and students. Her sense of humour is uplifting for all of us. She keeps us all on track and helps us stay focused on our jobs, not to mention meet all of our respective administrative deadlines through her always-courteous reminders (some of us needing more of those than others)!
Natalie is a constant in our department who keeps everything running smoothly from day to day, semester to semester, and year to year. She has a positive impact on all of use through this, and the various qualities listed above. She has also led the organization of countless annual holiday parties, hockey pools, several departmental planning retreats and more, thus contributing immeasurably to the positive social “vibe” that we all enjoy. While we could continue and write many more of the positive impacts she has had on each of us as individuals, we are instead submitting this collective thank you for her hard work and above all, for being a great person and colleague while keeping a “steady hand on the tiller”. “Erin works very hard to ensure everything is completed thoroughly and in a timely manner. She always has the needs of students, faculty, and fellow staff in mind and ensures they are met. Erin is a very personable and reliable staff member and her work ethic is amazing. Erin is always willing to assist me in areas where I need support and/or training. She always ensures she is available to me when needed and is very thorough in her explanations.”
