Let’s celebrate Earth Day by cleaning up Carleton’s beautiful campus! 🌎

This month Healthy Workplace and Sustainability Carleton are teaming up to celebrate Earth Day and officially welcome spring to campus with a community clean up event. We invite all faculty, staff and members of the Carleton community to join us on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 to clean up the campus.

Everyone is kindly asked to register prior to the event and to indicate the 30 minute shift that you would most prefer (Options: 12:00pm – 12:30pm and 12:30pm – 1:00pm). Healthy Workplace and Sustainability will be set up in the QUAD outside Tory Building where those participating can sign-in and pick up supplies (i.e. trash bags, pickers, etc.) before heading out on a search for litter.

A coffee, tea, and water station will be set up at the event for all those volunteering and the first 75 people to register will receive a voucher for a free lunch to be used at The Caf, located on the 3rd floor of Teraanga Commons. The voucher will be valid for both the day of the event, as well as the following day.

Please note: In the event of poor weather conditions, the rain date will be the following Tuesday, April 30, 2023. All registrants will be emailed on the day of the event if it needs to be postponed.

For those who cannot make this event all Ottawa residents can help keep their community spaces clean and green through the Cleaning the Capital program. You can join by registering for the spring 2024 campaign by May 3rd, or find an existing project.
