Olessia Jouravlev leads Linguistic Neurodiversity Lab (L-Neuro Lab) in the Department of Cognitive Science at Carleton University. Members of the L-Neuro Lab examine how linguistic and social behavior relates to brain responses. The ultimate goal of our research is to uncover neurocognitive mechanisms of language/communication in neurotypical individuals and individuals with compromised language/communication abilities (including patients with ASD, schizophrenia, and dyslexia).

Research in the L-Neuro Lab is funded by NSERC Discovery Grant, NFRF Exploration Grant, and CFI JELF grant. The lab is equipped with an fNIRS system, 2 EEG systems capable of hyperscanning, an eye-tracker, and computers for behavioural testing.

Dr. Jouravlev is currently accepting applications from prospective undergraduate and graduate students.
