Lucy Vorobej

Lucy Vorobej received her PhD in History from the University of Waterloo in 2024. Her dissertation, “By Their Own Efforts”: First Nations Health Policy in Canada, 1940s-1970s,” showcases her work, which explores the intersections of healthcare and equity. In 2025, she began a fellowship (the AMS Fellow in Residence for Healthcare History and Interdisciplinary Exchange) with AMS Healthcare, a charitable organization. Lucy is the granddaughter of the Honourable Landon Pearson. In 2024, she contributed an essay, “Introduction to Special Section – The Legacy of Landon Pearson,” for our Canadian Journal of Children’s Rights.
