Call for Applications – AfOx Visiting Fellowship Programme

The University of Oxford invites applications for the fully funded AfOx Visiting Fellowship Programme. This year-long fellowship offers a unique opportunity for African researchers holding an advanced degree to pursue independent academic research on forced migration. Applications are open until Friday, 6 June 2025. Submissions from researchers with lived experience of displacement are particularly encouraged.

Programme Overview

In partnership with the Refugee Studies Centre (RSC) at the University of Oxford, the AfOx Visiting Fellowship supports research on the causes, consequences, and responses to forced migration. The fellowship period extends from September 2025 to August 2026.

Encouragement to Applicants with Displacement Experience

Applications from individuals who have been affected by displacement, including asylum seekers, refugees, internally displaced persons, or those under temporary protection, are strongly encouraged. Your perspectives are invaluable to advancing critical scholarship in this field.
