Abis Getachew is the lead researcher in Ethiopia for the Study of RLOs in East Africa and the Middle East. Abis was previously displaced to South Africa and has since returned to Ethiopia. He holds a Master of Commerce in economics from the University of South Africa. Abis has been involved in several research projects on displacement in collaboration with the German Development Institute and the Refugee Studies Centre (RSC).
