Japanese Conversation Group Organizer

6:00-8:00 PM

Hello everyone! My name is Louis-Philippe, or Rui by my Japanese name. I am currently a fourth-year Computer Science student.

I am Japanese-Canadian, having lived most of my life in the Ottawa-Gatineau region. I  speak Japanese fluently because I talk with my family in Japanese, every day at home.

Starting my second year, I attended the discussion group sessions almost every week. This helped me make new friends and share my knowledge about the Japanese language and its culture. Since then, I have been able to meet a lot of new people and I am very surprised that so many people are interested in Japanese language and culture.

In addition, in 2023, I had the great opportunity to participate in an international exchange program in Kobe, Japan. It was an amazing experience to live in the Japanese culture, which was a memorable moment in my life.

The conversation group is a wonderful opportunity for you to use your Japanese language skills in a real environment and enjoy the conversation with many people of different cultural backgrounds. Learning a language requires a lot of dedication and motivation but that’s what makes it more rewarding and accomplishing.

Don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about me, Japanese culture and/or Japan international exchange.

Welcome to the Japanese Conversation Group! Looking forward to meeting you there!

日本会話グループへようこそ!皆さんとお会いできるのを楽しみにしています。
