Jonathan HarlineJonathan is a part-time cynic and full-time optimist who sometimes likes to read, write, watch interesting films, and practice drawing. He is husband to a wonderfully dynamic woman who is his example of confidence and success, and father to two rambunctious and amazingly fun boys. Jonathan is a professional communicator, which usually means he pretends to know how social media works. He’s worked in nonprofits for his whole career, ranging from symphonies to social agencies, and once volunteered in Nigeria for four months.

He grew up in a Mormon household but has since found various other beliefs and practices that help him see that the world is one giant ecosystem that we need to collaborate on and protect together, and that includes humanity.

Jonathan’s academic career started as a student of statesmanship, then economics, and then finally he found his true love of English Literature. Now, he hopes his academic skills can get him through this master’s program and to a point in his career where he can help streamline and scale nonprofit organizations to be able to respond to their various issues and interests in the best ways possible.
